Paavo Nurmi Run/Walk 2004

July 31, 2004 &ndash 8:00 a.m.: 5K (3.1 miles)

PRE-REGISTRATION:

$12 registration fee before July 16 — includes run t-shirt. Race numbers and run T-shirts can be picked up on Friday, July 30, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the festival market place or race day morning beginning at 7:00 a.m. To insure a race T-shirt, please pre-register. If you are registering race day morning, register prior to 7:45 a.m. so the race can start on time.

REGISTRATION AT FESTIVAL:

$5 run/walk registration fee on July 30 & 31 does not include t-shirt. There will be limited race t-shirts available on July 30 & 31 for a $15 registration fee.

TO CLARIFY:

• Pre-registration: (Prior to July 16) $12 w/tee shirt
• After July 16: $15 w/tee shirt
• $5 for race only no tee shirt

COURSE:

The course will begin and end at the Naselle High School track. The race will start with a lap around the track, proceed down to the DOT building and follow the road behind building for 1 mile. You will then return back for another lap around the track to the Finnish line where you will be met by a cheering crowd for a job well done! Water will be available at the turnaround point. This course is a gradual uphill run for 1 mile out and a nice down hill run back to the school. Runners and walkers should be aware the course is a gravel road and using caution is necessary.

AWARDS 9:30 A.M. NHS TRACK:

Awards will be given to the first three finishers in each division for both the run and the walk. Now that you have had your exercise for the day, you can enjoy the rest of the festival and sample the great food available.

Showers will be available after the race in the school gym. Bring you own towel etc.
