The Friday Before
Sauna Night

The festival previews on Friday afternoon. A special flute and kantele concert will be held the previous night. Here is the current schedule for Friday, July 30th:

11:00 a.m.: Finnam Golf Tournament (Long Beach)
12:00 noon: Exhibits, food booths, and craft sales open
Preliminary Opening Ceremony: Flag raising, national anthems, Naselle Children's Choir, Maypole Dancers, storytelling by Anne-Marie Didion
c. 1:00 p.m. (immediately following opening ceremonies): Skit, My First Sauna, written and directed by Barbara Swanson (Commons)
1:15-4 p.m. (+): Workshops, speakers, and demonstrations; films, poetry, kanteles, genealogy; arts and crafts (in classrooms)
Friday evening: Naselle Commons
6:30 p.m.: Naselle Choir
7:00 p.m.: Play — Sauna: The Saturday Night Connection, written by Elenora Hillis, performed by the Naselle Players
8:00 p.m.: "Naselle past and present," slide show by Greg Nelson
