The Spoken Word: Open Mic

Writers are invited to present their original work whether it be poetry, vignettes, song lyrics, nonfiction. There is no age limit nor restrictions on the subject matter.

The public is encouraged to come listen to the participants from the community and beyond read or recite these original works.

• Arrive early and sign up for a place on the schedule.
• Bring more than one writing. You might change your mind and wish to read the one you left at home — or there may be time to read another.
• If you would like your work posted for others to read, bring an extra copy and we will provide a space for public viewing. Or bring copies for attendees to keep.
• Be an enthusiastic listener. Support your fellow writers.
